A very exciting Pregnancy reveal – Family session.

A month or so ago, I got a message out of the blue from a lady I’ve known forever. She had some very exciting news and was hoping when the time came, I could be the one to photograph the announcement. Well of course I jumped at the chance, and we set about planning. Yesterday her scan day finally arrived, and at 4pm we met up to take some very special photographs. Its official I LOVE doing pregnancy announcement sessions!

Please do just pop me a message if you’d love to do something similar!

Reubens Cake smash!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of inviting Reuben, mum and big brother to one of my cake sessions. I was ridiculously excited for this one, just because of how basic it was going to be. All white, clean, unfussy, simplistic. The focus was completely on little Reuben and thats exactly how I had hoped it would be.

The session itself was just wonderful – though we had a slight challenge, turns out the birthday boy isn’t too keen on cake! He had a nibble, pulled a bit out, but really he was more excited about playing with the balloons!

Happy 1st Birthday Rueben, and thank you for letting me shoot such a special session!

A mothers day special – Family session.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Amy – the mothers day facebook competition winner – for her special session. We met in a totally brand new location for me, Longton Brickcroft. Up until that session, I had absolutely non clue it existed and its such a gorgeous location! Anyway, the session went beautifully. Along with her daughter  – the most adorable little dolly ever!- Mum, sister-in-law and nephew, we had a little trek around, capturing lots as went.

Thanks so much Amy!

An afternoon at Brockholes – Family session.

I’ve been running my Family portrait offer since December and I’m so glad I did! These sessions have been the perfect way to meet lots of families that otherwise wouldnt really have booked. With them only being 20 minutes long and being a very simple set up. These are perfect for people that aren’t altogether keen on having their photo taken.

Anyway, one of the families that took advantage of the offer where the Turvey Family. And what a GORGEOUS day it was! I managed to grab some truly beautiful photos for their session at Brockholes. Though it didn’t go wholly to plan, with one of the boys feeling really poorly, but they stuck it out and I am so glad they did! It was like our first little taste of spring.

Lola’s Cake smash!

A couple of months or so ago now, I was approached by one of my sisters friends about the possibility of doing her daughters first birthday cake smash. I’d been toying with the idea of just giving it a go – I turned down so many of these last year, which is just ridiculous! – Anyway, I ignored my dislike of studio photography and created a plan that would make studio stuff more enjoyable for me. Anyway the day came and after lots of back and forth messages between us, I was certain I’d got everything ready for little Lola’s first birthday celebrations.

The session itself couldn’t have gone any more perfect. It was Lola’s actual birthday on our smash date, which just made the whole experience even more special. She was an absolute joy to work with, and though she was a little wary of getting fully stuck in with her cake, she did eventually get comfortable enough to just enjoy her session.

Happy 1st Birthday Lola, thank you for letting me shoot your special day!

A last minute at home session – Family session.

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Rachael with a very urgent request. Her sister in-law and her beloved nephew Jin were over from Japan and they desperately wanted to capture some family memories before they went back – which was only a couple of days away! Anyway off I went, and what an absolutely lovely family. from the second I arrived I was given the warmest of welcomes. It was such a joy to capture their bond, and the entire session flashed by in a haze of laughter. These naturally flowing sessions are my favourite!

A new family bubble: Baby Autumn – Family lifestyle.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited into the home of the lovely ‘Griffiths’ family. Mum Lucy and dad Russ, had just welcomed beautiful little bebe Autumn into the world and wanted some memories capturing. It was a joy to photograph this family and big brother George did amazing well in front of the camera. Its always so nice being around these little babies, they’re usually very quiet and relaxed, I leave a session feeling so calm. Thanks for having me Griffiths family.

Last session of 2017, The Corner family. – Family session.

On a VERY cold wintry day, just two days before Christmas, I met the lovely Corner family in Moor Park in Preston. Jenna was the winner of my Christmas competition over on the Facebook page and she genuinely was so happy to have won! I absolutely loved this session – I know I say this all the time, but I just get so invested! ha ha- Anyway, the whole clan were just a dream to shoot, the teenagers didn’t get too bored, the toddlers kept their focus. It really was the perfect way to end 2017!

Roman’s Christening. – Family lifestyle

Back at the beginning of December, I shot my very first Christening. Little Roman was so well behaved on his very special day and it was so lovely to revolve a session around family at one of their get togethers. Tia was I think the most relaxed person I’ve ever had a session with, when asked by me about any specific images she wants capturing her reply was “Oh you just what you usually do, I trust you.” Which I think was just what every photographer wants to hear. It really was such a wonderful ceremony to be a part of.

A Wintery trip to Brockholes – Family session.

Way back in November, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the White Family. Both Gemma and Greg wanted some lovey photos of their little family, but most importantly they wanted a family portrait so they could send them out as Christmas presents. From the get go, this family were just so perfect to shoot! Both boys played happily, the whole thing was just so natural and lovely to be a part of.

I genuinely cant wait to be back shooting this family again!
